Lumenocity was an installation sited outside Customs House
as part of Sydney's inaugural Smart Light Festival in 2009.
It was designed by Sean Bryen, Sascha Crocker, and Andrew Daly;
and won the festival's People's Choice award.

The installation is a rough abstraction of the Sydney CBD which
invites the viewer to contemplate Sydney's built environment energy
consumption, and the issue of light pollution.

As the viewer approaches, a humming sound builds; which serves
as a counterpoint to the delicate appearance of the miniature city
and is a reminder of the cost of Sydney's night time beauty.
